New Laigh Kirk A place to belong Welcome to Worship Sunday 10th June 2018 9.30am

Minister: Rev. David S. Cameron Session Clerk: Derek I’Anson Organist: Mr. Martin C. Sharp

Welcome A very warm welcome to worship this morning from all at New Laigh Kirk. We are glad you are here today and hope you enjoy worshipping with us. Please make yourself known to those sitting beside you. Tea and coffee will be served in the church immediately after the 9.30am service.

New Laigh Kirk - a place to belong Whether you are a guest or regular attender we invite you to find your welcome place among us, a place to belong, to join in regular worship, to join in the life of our Kirk in whatever capacity and in your own appropriate way. You will see that there are many people of all ages seeking to serve within New Laigh Kirk as well as the wider community. As part of the family of God and gifted with many and varying talents, we try to use these to deepen our faith, care for each other, and to spread into our town and parish the good news of God’s love for all. May God richly bless you in your worship today.

Order of Service Gathering Song Call to worship Come, now is the time to worship. Come, now is the time to give your heart. Come, just as you are to worship. Come, just as you are before your God, Come. One day every tongue Will confess You are God, One day every knee will bow. Still, the greatest treasure remains For those who gladly choose You now. Prayer

Reading Give thanks to the Lord, Our God and King His love endures forever. For He is good, He is above all things His love endures forever, Sing praise, sing praise! With a mighty hand and outstretched arm His love endures forever. For the life that's been reborn His love endures forever, Sing praise, sing praise Sing praise, sing praise! CHORUS: Forever God is faithful, Forever God is strong, Forever God is with us, Forever and ever, forever (2X) From the rising to the setting sun, His love endures forever And by the grace of God we will carry on, His love endures forever. Sing praise, sing praise Sing praise, sing praise! (CHORUS) His love endures forever (8X) Sing praise, sing praise, Sing praise, sing praise. All Age Address In my wrestling and in my doubts In my failures You won't walk out Your great love will lead me through

You are the peace in my troubled sea, oh oh You are the peace in my troubled sea In the silence, You won't let go In the questions, Your truth will hold Your great love will lead me through You are the peace in my troubled sea, oh oh You are the peace in my troubled sea My Lighthouse, my lighthouse Shining in the darkness, I will follow You My Lighthouse, my lighthouse (oh oh) I will trust the promise, You will carry me safe to shore (Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh) Safe to shore (Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh) Safe to shore (Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh) Safe to shore Fire before us You're the brightest You will lead us Through the storms (hey) (REPEAT 3X) Learn a new song You call me out upon the waters The great unknown where feet may fail And there I find You in the mystery In oceans deep my faith will stand And I will call upon Your name And keep my eyes above the waves When oceans rise My soul will rest in Your embrace For I am Yours and You are mine Your grace abounds in deepest waters Your sov'reign hand will be my guide Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me You've never failed and You won't start now Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders Let me walk upon the waters Wherever You would call me

Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander And my faith will be made stronger In the presence of my Saviour x3 I will call upon Your name Keep my eyes above the waves My soul will rest in Your embrace I am Yours and You are mine Offering Prayer of Dedication including prayers for the church, for the world and for others I stand amazed in the presence Of Jesus the Nazarene, And wonder how He could love me, A sinner, condemned, unclean. How marvellous! How wonderful! And my song shall ever be: how marvellous! how wonderful! Is my Saviour’s love for me! For me it was in the garden He prayed: “Not My will, but Thine.” He had no tears for His own griefs, But sweat drops of blood for mine. How marvellous! How wonderful…. In pity angels beheld Him, And came from the world of light To comfort Him in the sorrows He bore for my soul that night. How marvellous! How wonderful…. He took my sins and my sorrows, He made them His very own; He bore the burden to Calvary, And suffered and died alone. How marvellous! How wonderful….l

When with the ransomed in glory His face I at last shall see, ’Twill be my joy through the ages To sing of His love for me. How marvellous! How wonderful‌. Benediction
