Welcome and Intimations A very warm welcome to worship this morning from all at New Laigh Kirk. We are glad you are here today and hope you enjoy worshipping with us. Please make yourself known to those sitting beside you. During the summer months tea and coffee is served in the church between the two services. Join us after the 9.30am service or before the 11.00am service.


There will be a short service of communion in the church immediately after the 11.00am service. The welcome team today is Lilian Gillies, Barbara Allan, Andrew Bryson, Jim Lawson, Peter Adam, John McDowall, Iain Sherry, Betty Johnstone, Elaine Bryson, Moyra O'Rourke, Christine Bell, Donald MacLean, Ann MacLean, Ian McCall and Kevin Handling. Summer Service format of worship continues on Sunday, 9th July. All age service begins at 9.30am and the more traditional service at 11.00am. A few copies of the Order of Service in large print are available. Please speak to a member of the duty team if you require one. NLK Summer Club Guardians of Ancora Monday, 31st July to Friday, 4th August with both a children's and youth programme. If you can offer your help, particularly in organising kids' crafts or cooking an evening meal for the team, please contact Bethany on Tel: 07827 816405 or Email: bethanymccaw@icloud.com. Prayer Group will meet on Wednesday, 5th July at 7.00pm in the church. All are welcome but if you cannot come in person, please leave a prayer request in the box in church or on our Facebook page. NLK Walking Group - weekly Wednesday evening walks at 7.00pm (weather permitting) at the entrance to main car park, Dean Castle Country Park. Walk lasts around 45 minutes. All welcome. NLK Walking Group's scheduled walks on Saturday, 8th July to Sanquhar have been postponed until September. It is hoped to have two walks: a moderately difficult walk around Euchan Glen, Sanquhar - with a longer, slightly more arduous walk from Muirkirk to Sanquhar. The Walking Group's weekend outing for July (weather permitting) will be a coastal walk on Sunday, 23rd July to Seamill, extended to Portencross for those wishing a longer walk. Meet at 2.00pm at the small car park on the beach side, near to the junction with the road from West Kilbride. Anyone requiring or offering transport, please contact Ellen Stewart.


A First Aid training course has been organised for Friday, 8th September in the halls. This training is particularly for anyone who would like to be included on the rota as First Aider in the church on Sundays. The cost of the course will be met by the church. If you would like to attend, please speak to Derek I'Anson or Janice Grant before the end of July. Church Open and Welcome on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12noon to 2.00pm. We urgently require a pool of volunteers, especially men, to welcome the visitors on a rota basis. Please speak to Helen Colman. Remember that the more volunteers there are, the less often you will be on duty! Open Doors. New Laigh Kirk will be opening its doors to all on Friday and Saturday from 12noon to 2.00pm. The Church will be open for those who want to come for a period of solitude or reflection; to see the newly restored stained glass windows from the inside; or to find out some of the history of the church and town. Foodbank. Donations of non-perishable foods should be placed in the blue bin in the vestibule. Particularly welcome just now are UHT milk, tinned fruit, rice pudding, meat and vegetables.
