Welcome and Intimations A very warm welcome to worship this morning from all at New Laigh Kirk. We especially welcome family and friends of Kingz Kidz and Trekkers to our prizegiving service as well as 4th/5th Kilmarnock BB Boys receiving their Queen’s and President’s Awards today. We are glad you are here today and hope you enjoy worshipping with us. Please make yourself known to those sitting beside you. Tea and coffee will be served in the church immediately after the service. The welcome team today is Steven Mack, Hunter Withers, John Dale, Helen Duffy, Lesley Wright, Mary King, Janis Lewis, Derrick MacAllister, Barbara Graham, Ken Stewart, Elspeth Dale, Andrew King and Elizabeth Young. Summer Service format of worship commences on Sunday, 11th June. All age service begins at 9.30am and the more traditional service at 11.00am. Tea and coffee will be served immediately after the 9.30am service. The short monthly communion service will take place immediately after the 11.00am service. Celebration of Eldership Service TONIGHT at 7.00pm in St Andrew's and St Marnock's Parish Church. The service will be conducted by Revd Colin Strong, Moderator of the Presbytery. The Guest Speaker this year will be Mr Steven Owens, Congregational Facilitator, on “ Moving from passive to active faith.” Tea and coffee will be served in hall after the service. This service is not exclusive to Elders and all are welcome. A few copies of the Order of Service in large print are available. Please speak to a member of the duty team if you require one. On the occasion of Barbara Urquhart's retirement an opportunity to donate towards a retirement gift will be made this morning. Please place your donation in an envelope marked "Barbara Urquhart" and place in the offering plate when the offering is uplifted. If donating by cheque please make it payable to New Laigh Kirk and write Barbara's name on the back. Thank you for your generosity.

All are welcome but if you cannot come in person, please leave a prayer request in the box in church or on our Facebook page. NLK Walking Group - weekly Wednesday evening walks at 7.00pm (weather permitting) at the entrance to main car park, Dean Castle Country Park. Walk lasts around 45 minutes. All welcome. We are having another 'Big Day Out' Walking Trip to Arran on Saturday, 10th June. Three walks: Fisherman's Trail, Glen Rosa and Goatfell. Please check website and NLK Facebook page for updates. Anyone interested in doing the Goatfell walk should contact Derek I'Anson. If you require transport, please contact Derek or Shirley Auld. There will be a short meeting after the service TODAY. Imagine Summer BBQ will be held on Sunday, 11th June from 4.00pm to 5.30pm in the halls. Reachout praise band from St Kentigern’s will lead us in our celebration worship. Volunteers are needed for this year's Summer Club - Guardians of Ancora: Treasure Seekers. It runs from Monday, 31st July until Friday, 4th August with a kids' club from 2.00pm to 4.00pm and a teenage programme from 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Help with registration, snacks, crafts and games as well as group leaders are all required for the kids' club. If you can help in any way, please let Sara know. Church Open and Welcome on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12noon to 2.00pm. We urgently require a pool of volunteers, especially men, to welcome the visitors on a rota basis. Please speak to Helen Colman. Remember that the more volunteers there are, the less often you will be on duty! Open Doors. New Laigh Kirk will now be opening its doors to all on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12noon to 2.00pm. The Church will be open for those who want to come for a period of solitude or reflection; to see the newly restored stained glass windows from the inside; or to find out some of the history of the church and town. Foodbank. Donations of non-perishable foods should be placed in the blue bin in the vestibule. Particularly welcome just now are UHT milk,


tinned fruit, rice pudding, meat and vegetables. New volunteers are always welcome. New Laigh Kirk Volunteers - Needing help with shopping, DIY, gardening or a lift to medical appointments?
