Marian Vessels, Director of the Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center, will discuss the ADA, proposed changes, key issues including accommodations and disclosure, and the direct implications for people with MS.

Resources for Training and Placing Older Workers Arthur Koff, Founder, RetiredBrains.com and Author of Invent Your Retirement Yolanda Lallo, National MS Society Member Are you an older individual looking to return to the workforce or change careers? Arthur Koff, an active senior, will discuss various tips for older workers seeking employment, including where to search, temporary work, volunteering, and resume writing. Yolanda Lallo will share her experiences working with a Senior Community Service Employment Program that ultimately led to gainful employment.

Are you having difficulty with your current job? Are you considering changing careers but need direction? Vocational rehabilitation specialist Dorra Blacker will explore the necessary steps to effectively navigate this transition. Karen Jackson will share her own experiences that led to shifting her career. 7:00-8:00 pm

Starting a Business: With the Right Supports, It’s Easier Than You Think Beth Keeton, Senior Consultant, Griffin-Hammis Associates & The Center for Social Capital Have you considered starting a business but felt you did not have the necessary skills? With the right supports, it may be easier than you think. Employment consultant Beth Keeton will discuss different types of businesses, important things to consider, and potential resources available to help launch a successful business.
