ABOUT MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are leading to better understanding and moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million worldwide.

BIKE MS: COLONIAL CROSSROADS We are pleased to invite you to be a part of this extraordinary ride. Bike MS: Colonial Crossroads is a two-day fundraising cycling event, taking cyclists through historic Virginia sites and rustic farmlands. Each year, over 900 people ride in this event, 350 dedicated individuals volunteer their time and enthusiasm to help us create an unforgettable experience, and hundreds of spectators come out to cheer on our cyclists as they complete the ride of their lives. Sponsors have the opportunity to interact with attendees at the preevent packet pick-up, the overnight location, and at the finish line celebrations in Richmond and Smithfield. 2017 REST STOP PARTNERSHIP Bike MS: Colonial Crossroads has rest stops every 10 - 15 miles along the route to give cyclists a chance to refuel and re-energize on the way to the finish line. As a Bike MS Rest Stop Sponsor, your organization is an integral part of the extraordinary experience that Bike MS provides. What is more fun than pulling up to a rest stop after 15 grueling miles than one themed as a hawaiian luau or pirate party?! This is your company’s chance to showcase your employees as volunteers and your company as a charitable organization, all while creating a world free of MS.
