Mirla Avila, MD is a board certified neurologist who completed her residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas. She is the Assistant Professor of Neurology at the university. Dr. Avila has many published works pertaining to MS and is active in the MS community. Additionally, Dr. Avila completed her Fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis at Maxine Mesinger Multiple Sclerosis Clinic, a Center for Comprehensive MS Care, under the director of Dr. George Hutton.

MS CONNECTION: WINTER 2016 The Dallas, On the Move Luncheon celebrated its 10th Anniversary at the Ritz-Carlton on Friday, October 14, with 250 guests in attendance. The event was co-chaired by father-daughter duo, Dr. Philip Raskin and Robbin Raskin Solis, and included keynote speakers Dan and Jennifer Digmann, a couple living with MS from Michigan. The program honored Jamie Benn, Captain of the Dallas Stars as the Person On the Move, and Kendra Scott as the Company On the Move. The event raised more than $112,000.
