SysNews: NCSUGW1 Promotion Page 1 of 1
OIT | Help Desk | SysNews // NC State University | News | Find People NCSUGW1 Promotion OIT-CT - Network - Maintenance Effective Date: Apr 03 Starting Time: 23:00 Ending Time: 05:00 The uplink circuit used by the backup Internet gateway router (NCSUGW1) was recently upgraded to a 100G lambda delivered by a 10x 10G muxponder card. The circuit has been stable and MCNC has requested that we send traffic over the circuit (which normally only carries traffic if the primary Internet gateway fails). We will promote NCSUGW1 to an active role on Thursday evening starting 11:00 PM and then demote NCSUGW1 back to a standby role after the circuit exercise process is complete. No service impact is anticipated.
