OIT | Help Desk | SysNews // NC State University | News | Find People power issue UPS overload at MCNC Thursday VCL - Service - Degradation It has come to our attention though service related issues and end user reports that started occurring yesterday at 1:15PM Thursday 2/19/2015 Yesterday at approximately 1:10pm at MCNC there was a power issue which caused two of three UPS's to overload. This power event caused several racks of servers to power cycle or reboot uncleanly. MCNC is an off-campus datacenter that NCSU leases additional datacenter space. We are investigating which VCL machines are directly affected and are proceeded to repair if needed. If you have a VCL server reservation that has started having problems such as read-only errors or input errors, or are unable to access.
