ARTIST STATEMENT:
When the lights go out, a new history shines through. New ways of seeing, new ways of speaking but not for the other. History was written by the victor, but in the end we all Defeated. To relog time and space. To relog new history. Objects, by products of raw material. The industrializing of the body as commodity. Indoctrination, the by product of ideology. One mans light became another mans darkness. The physical realization of deconstructing history, self and the attempt to interrogate old narratives by visually and physically writing new ones. Complete acknowledgement and ownership of abuse of power and theory is key. The re-writing of history in the present. The genesis of the collective voice. What marks the end of the void series and the denial of history and present day self, through deliberate tactics of zombie abstraction, conceptual bankruptcy and social media narcissism must come to an end.
