Ballroom Dance Shoes
People debate on what the ideal heel height is for ballroom dance shoes. As a rule, 1 ½ to 2 ½ inches should be a good height to use. Anything higher might endanger you when you do all those fancy twists and turns. Flared or wider heels are more stable, but slim heels are good for dances that have a lot of turning and twisting. Pumps with t-straps are usually the first pair that a ballroom dancer will buy. Black is a classic, but flesh colored ones are great if you want to extend the line of your leg. Now for the Latin dances though, strappy sandals are usually recommended. Ensure that the straps aren’t too tight and the buckles have easy snap clasps for quick costume changes.
