Dancing Lesson – Samba Dance
Like most Latin dances, the samba is characterized by its hip sway action. Most beginners make the mistake of deliberately swinging the hips during the dance. This should not be the case. The hip movement is the natural effect of the rhythmic action in the feet and knees. When you master the footwork and corresponding weight changes, the hip movement will naturally fall into place. If you want to have a fun workout, then you should enroll in samba dancing lessons! My friends and I have and it has been one of the most enjoyable experiences we ever had. We even go to clubs and practice our moves and people think we’re naturals when really— the moves that we do were the result of hours of dancing lessons.
