office.net The goal of this project was to design an office building that focused on the communication network within the building. The result was a hybrid of a courtyard and skyscraper condition. There are two towers, which respond to an exterior courtyard condition, all while maintaining the interior network through a sky bridge.

urban.net This project was located in the bottoms of Kansas City, MO. ( just west of the downtown loop). The goal of this project was to infuse new life into the area, by developing a new street grid system, and introducing new programs and buildings. The new program and structure had to be able to react and communicate well with surrounding existing programs as well. (Downtown Loop, Missouri River, Kansas City, KS.)

office.net + urban.net Combining site and structure, this project introduced the office.net building into the site from urban.net. Revisions were made to the structure, all while maintaining the same concepts and design goals from office.net. The result was a building that introduced another skybridge as well as an additional exterior courtyard condition.

urban center Located in central Lincoln, this shopping center is a focal point to the surrounding areas. Incorporating greenspace and walking trails into the site was essential to draw people in from Antelope Park and the surrounding neighborhoods. The result is mixed-use center that “weaves the green and urban spaces together. This creates a draw for people into the urban space as well as the park.

mixed-use development This project is located in downtown Lincoln and is surrounded by different programs, such as the Haymarket, the university, downtown, and Memorial Stadium. The goal of this building is to become an anchor to the area, branching out to existing progams and creating visual connections.

limestone [digging] The spaces excavated into the stone allow one to explore the entire object. Since the spaces are all of similar width and depth, it encourages one to keep turning the stone to see where the space continues on another side.
The amount of
spaces can be interpreted in different ways, depending on the definition of what a space is. It may be read as having one space, since all the excavated spaces are connected. But on the other hand, the space is divided because of the of corner condition of the stone, allowing it to be read as having multiple spaces. The stone can also be read by the solid areas around the excavated spaces instead of the other way around.
This way of thinking makes one
focus on the solidity of the stone rather than the spaces created in it. 20

[group project]
The University Health Center/ Emergency Department is a state-of-the-art facility that provides services not only to students enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, but also to the surrounding medically underserved area (MUA).
Located at the site of the old Cushman
Factory (northeast corner of N. Antelope Valley Parkway and Vine Street), the health center also includes a “community junction, which centrally located, provides a range of services including gym/workout facilities, retail spaces, food court, meeting rooms, and lounge spaces.

bryan health cancer center
[group project]
As part of the expansion of Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln, this project looks at developing a plot of land northeast of the current campus. The focus of the expansion is to create a “green link, which not only links the two parts of campus, but also become a vital role in part of the healing process for patients. Located off this circulation link is the new cancer center for Bryan Health. The cancer center becomes a safe haven for patients, using natural light, views out, and allowing them control over the environment to make the treatment process easier on them.

salina art center worktables
[group project]
These worktables were designed and constructed for the Salina Art Center in Salina,KS. The tables are irregular pentagons, but they are able to roll together and create different formations, as per the clients’ need. The design on the table top is an acrylic inlay, which actually says “ART” in an abstract fashion. The legs were designed to have a clean and solid look, while allowing the tables to meet up against each other.
