W IS FOR WATER
You probably have lots of experience with water. You drink it, bathe in it, cook with it, and watch it drip off the roof when it rains. But what exactly is water?
Just like everything else in the world, water is made of matter . Inside matter are teeny tiny building blocks called atoms . You cannot see atoms, even with a powerful microscope. They are so small that they can’t be cut in half. Until 1905, we didn’t even have proof that atoms existed. How does water change from a solid to a liquid to a gas? INVESTIGATE! ?
