GOVERNMENT OF THE STRAITS SETTLEMENTS , a complete obverse proof for $100, ND (ca 1898-1901), no serial numbers, red and pale green, arms at top centre, value in green underprint at centre, value in red tablet at centre and value at each corner, previously mounted and with a minor tear, in PMG holder 50, about uncirculated, excessively rare and a real treasure for the series, the only example graded by PMG and likely one of only a handful in existence

GOVERNMENT OF THE STRAITS SETTLEMENTS , a group of hand-executed rubbings from Straits Settlements watermark moulds, contained in a brown paper slipcase, ND (1914), one each for $50, $100 and $1000, each with elephant at left and right, also in the lot is a printer’s list of ‘alterations of denominations on moulds’,rusty paper clip marks and some damp toning, a fascinating group of unique archival material, generally very ne (4 pieces in a slipcase)
