The Brand Logo The Public Beaches of Dubai are open to people of all cultural backgrounds as a radiant natural space of both relaxation and entertainment that brings together friends and family. The brand mark is a reflection of that. It captures the beautiful ambiance the beach has to offer. In order to maintain the desired image and feel of the brand, certain guidelines should be followed. This insures consistency and conserves the authenticity of the brand.

Margins & Spaces When inserting the logo, make sure the margins are respected. Leaving a lot of free space makes the logo stand out. This ensures the visibility of the brandmark. The clearspace is defined by the circular shape in the middle of the logo. Please leave a margin of one circle to the sides, half a circle circle up and half down.

Logo Misusage The goal of the guidelines is to conserve the authenticity and consistency of the brand. Here are some misuages that would compromise the brand identity.

The logo can be used with or without wordmark. However, the wordmark is not to be used alone.

If placed on a dark background, fully color the logo in white.

Do not rearrange the elements or colours of the logo.

Do not change placement of the wordmark.

Do not rotate the logo.

Do not create patters out of or duplicate the logo.

Typefaces Gills Sans is a sans serif typeface. It’s used in both the logo wordmark and the stationary and extended applications Gill Sans Light is used in the wordmark of the logo at a caps height of 57 pt. Gill Sans Regular is to be used for body text while Gill Sans Bold can be used for titles and headings.

Illustrations The illustrations are created as to mirror the fines curves of the logo while offering a more organic side to the brand. The illustrations are to be made only in line art. Do not colour them in. The change in line weights within the drawing depend on the source of light. If an area is dimly lit, the lines are heavier. If an area is well lit, the line weight is lighter and become lightly discontinuous. The hatching is very light and is only used in the darkest areas and on areas with texture.

Stationary The design of the stationary elements is provided to complete the brand identity.

Business Cards Like most of the stationary, the business cards display the illustration style of the Public Beach brand as well as the logo. The text is in Gill Sans. The typesize is 7 pt.

Letterheads The letterheads are designed in a way that flatters the logo and expresses the brand identity. The proportions are to respected. The format is A4. The typesize used overall is 10 pt with a leading of 12 pt.

Envelopes The size of the envelopes in D10. They fit an A4 letterheads if the latter is folder in three. Again, proportions are to be respected for consistency and authenticity. The typesize used is 10 pt
