Conveyancer—What Role do they Play in Real Estate? A conveyancer specializes in the legal aspects of selling and buying real estate property. Arranging the final details of the settlement—this is also for both the buyer and seller. If it is for the seller the conveyancer will coordinate a good time for settlement and on that day they will have the Contract of Sale ready for the buyer and seller to sign. If you are the buyer the conveyancer will check with the bank that is financing you to make sure that the funds are in place. For the buyer the conveyancer will also look over the Contract of Sale to make sure that everything that is supposed to be.
