Tank Simulator Thales’ Tank Crew Training Simulators provide a detailed replica of the crewmember positions. They are equipped with an “out of the window” visual display system, which provides the crew with a visual scene through the hatch and through periscopes. They are mounted on specially designed motion platforms, which provide realistic motion cues without inducing motion sickness. These factors, when combined with simulated tactical and cultural environments, provide highly realistic battlefield training.

ASLAV Simulator The Australian Light Armored Vehicle (ASLAV) Simulator provides an exceedingly realistic, challenging, fully immersive environment in which the soldier can train either individually or in full tactical cooperative scenarios. This is achieved by the use of COTS PC-based technology, state of the art visual system technology, sophisticated simulation software and a highly detailed and realistic synthetic environment.

TOTAL SIMULATION SOLUTIONS Thales’ capabilities are directly aligned to STOC II requirements. Thales’ primary training and simulation capabilities lie in the following areas: • Front end analysis, design, development, fielding and sustainment of simulation systems for a complete military portfolio. • Extensive experience in developing and maintaining systems for fixed wing aircraft, helicopters, land vehicles, naval platforms, small arms trainers and close combat tactics trainers – including the associated weaponry and systems embedded within their increasingly complex operational environment.
LAND FORCES TRAINING • Produced and delivered more than 300 armored vehicle gunnery and driving simulators, built as areas for students to progress from foundational driving skills to advanced tactical driving skills. HELICOPTER TRAINING • Nearly 100 full-mission helicopter simulators in service worldwide. • Range of offering includes reconfigurable simulators (replicating various platform types) which provide optimal training value and minimal down time. • Training solutions include cockpits that consistently replicate the visual, sound and tactile environment of the flight crew position in the actual aircraft, with highly realistic visual displays incorporating detailed graphics. • Equipment has been provided both for individual and collective training environments. Thales pioneered the Roll-On Roll-Off cabin concept.
MILITARY AIRCRAFT TRAINING • Full mission simulators provide for all levels of training in the net-centric operational environment. • Training solutions include cockpits that consistently replicate the visual, sound and tactile environment of the flight crew position in the actual aircraft, with detailed graphics that create highly realistic visual displays. • Over 200 simulators in service including fast jet, tanker, reconnaissance and military transport aircraft.
