401 North Neil Street Champaign, IL
The City of Champaign is now accepting proposals for a redevelopment project in the heart of downtown. Located at the northwest intersection of Neil St. and Hill St., the lot currently serves as a public parking lot.
September 2015
Downtown Champaign is a thriving and continiously growing dining and entertainment hub for the city. 401 N. Neil lies just north of M2, a 9-story building built in 2007 that is home to restaurants, offices, and condominiums. Across Neil St. is another parking lot that is the site for another larger scale mixed-use development proposal. This corner of downtown is clearly headed towards more integrated mixed-use buildings and the city hopes to see similar improvements at 401 N Neil. Blocks away from Champaign’s busiest public transit hub, this location also offers the convenience of denser city living with a strong sense of community.
