Dear Friends Welcome to the Autumn Season at The Farm. Movie Mondays anyone? Or how about a chilled meditation class? Monday openings are here to stay so come for a class, a coffee, a movie or lunch and kickstart your week with connectivity and creativity, our two new favourite words… New classes this season include Tutus - the new pre-school ballet class in our early years programme. Much more fun than a dull gym, this season get involved in the new dance workshops Jitterbug Sundays and Magical Musicals or check out the busy programme of daytime and evening classes for adults. Shows I’m especially excited about this Autumn include Wild Life - eek - careful what’s behind the sofa. The Tempest, presented in collaboration with Damon Albarn’s African Express. Joan, history’s greatest gender-warrior, and the return, after 6 long years, of the electric story teller Inua Ellams. The ever talented Norden Farm technical team, headed up by Matt Biss have given the studio a Ronnie Scott’s style club makeover for our jazz gigs. Sharing a cabaret table with a fellow muso, so close up to the band you can see the keys fly, is an experience not to be missed. Artists including the great Don Weller, Tina May and New Yorker Michael Kanan are just some of the talent playing there. The team also built the set for Miki, a seriously magical Christmas show for families. If you’ve never seen a cowboy crab dancing or a penguin cooking breakfast, now’s your chance! Whether you’re in the mood for a chamber orchestra, some finger picking folk, or an evening of guaranteed laughter with top flight comedians we’ve got it all going on, down at The Farm See you here soon.
