Spring Soirée & Annual Auction

Greetings from the Headmaster,

As

we approach the end of another school year, we have many opportunities to come together and celebrate in the successes at Norfolk Collegiate School. From awards ceremonies to senior project presentations to games, plays and musicals, our spring is filled with events that highlight what it means to be an Oak. Tonight’s event, the Spring Soirée & Annual Auction, is a great example. Tonight, as we gather together with our friends, family and faculty and join in laughter and fun to raise money for the Annual Fund, remember that every dollar raised will directly benefit every student in every classroom in every grade. Because of the generous support of our donors, we are able to provide a great education for our students. The Annual Fund allows us to go “over and beyond” to provide resources to the arts, athletics, academics, technology and professional development. Please enjoy the efforts of our dedicated volunteers, sponsors, advertisers and donors as you bid on the wide variety of baskets, certificates, trips and treasures! We encourage you to bid high and bid often and of course, enjoy your night!

Spring Soirée & Annual Auction begins at 7 p.m. in the Watt-Baker and Middle School Gymnasiums located at 7336 Granby Street in Norfolk. 2. Please join the celebration in your garden party attire. 3. Check-in is in the Upper School Lobby. No physical tickets are necessary for entry...your name is on the guest list if you paid online or returned payment with your RSVP card. Guests are strongly encouraged to purchase their ticket before April 15, 2015. 4. Please pre-register your credit card upon check-in in the front lobby. This will help to expedite the check-out process for all guests. 5. The Silent Auction is set up in the Middle School gym. Move clockwise around the perimeter of the gym to best experience all sections. Section closing times are listed on the front page of your booklet, as well as near each section. 6. Silent Auction sections close in 15-minute intervals from 8:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. As each section closes, bidding ends and bid sheets will be promptly collected by the auction team. Remember to revisit the Super Silent section and Sign-Up Parties at 9 p.m. to make your final bid before 9:15 p.m. 7. Food stations with heavy hors d’oeuvres and two full bars are open throughout the silent auction in the Middle School gym. The food stations and bars will close promptly at 9:15 p.m. when the last silent auction section closes, and all guests will move to the Watt-Baker Gymnasium for the Live Auction. 8. The Live Auction begins at 9:30 p.m. in the Watt-Baker Gymnasium. Be sure to have your bid number in hand! 9. The check-out team will be ready for you at the end of the Live Auction in the lobby. Purchases may be paid for by cash, check, American Express, Discover, MasterCard or VISA. If you need to leave before check out is open, please register your credit card, and we will send your receipt. 10. Your items may be collected after you pick up your receipt at check out. An auction team member will be available in each section to assist. Merchandise cannot be picked up without your receipt from check-out. 11. Large items must be picked up on Sunday, April 19, from noon to 2 p.m. in the Middle School gym.
