DID YOU KNOW?

If you are 70½ or older, gifting all or a portion of the required minimum distribution (RMD) from your IRA account or inherited IRA can benefit your family and the mission of Norfolk Collegiate. By gifting a portion of the RMD amount you will not pay federal or state income tax on a direct transfer to Norfolk Collegiate; however, you will be making a difference in the lives of your grandchildren and other Collegiate students.

LIBRARY FUND GETS SOCIAL

As part of Norfolk Collegiate’s COVID-10 protocols, only students, faculty and staff were permitted inside of the building. This also including limiting food that came into the building.

So the Library Fund and Lower School Student Council, SCA, Association joined forces to create a new program to help celebrate our students birthdays and also raise funds for the Library Fund and the SCA.

The Lower School Birthday Book Program allows parents and grandparents the opportunity to celebrate their student’s birthday with two package options:

• Option one includes a birthday crown or badge, a treat for each student in the class and the student’s picture on the school’s social media channels.

• The second option provides all of the above and a birthday book that goes into the Spainhour Family Library at the lower school.
