ABOUT NNL Whilst unpacking my favourite childhood cardigan for one of my own children, I was reminded of the importance of caring for life’s most precious items. From this initial thought, grew an idea for Norfolk Natural Living, an heirloom-worthy garment and homecare brand designed to care for your most treasured possessions. Although it might have been my initial idea, we are a team at Norfolk Natural Living and our first range is the embodiment of our research, all our thoughts and passion for the Norfolk countryside and coast. We have put nature and craftsmanship at its core, we bottle every formulation by hand, in our workshop, nestled in a small town in Norfolk. We’re lucky to be surrounded by the awe inspiring lavender fields and white sandy beaches for which the Norfolk landscape is famous.

Our first collection spans everyday clothing care to speciality washes, including Denim and Cashmere, a Sportswear Refresher and Linen Mist. Each vegan-friendly formula, combines the efficacy of modern

plant-based technology with the finest botanical ingredients. I believe raising a family is enough of a challenge without having to worry about the chemicals in your home. Which is why all of our natural cleaning products are also 100% plant based, biodegradable, non-toxic, free from chlorine and bleach, yet gentle enough for even a baby's delicate skin. You should not have to forfeit protecting the environment to look after your favourite garments and the memories they hold. From a cherished shirt stolen from the boyfriend to wear in bed, to the lucky skirt worn to your first job interview, to those childhood pyjamas, each is a precious memory, worth preserving in the best way possible.

A LOOK INSIDE OUR STORE Our flagship store is in the rural market town of Holt, Norfolk. Steeped in history, Holt is a bustling Georgian town

brimming

with

wonderful and unique shops. It is such a joy to find a high street that has maintained its independence and has such a wonderful sense of community.

We stock our full collection of natural handmade homewares, garment care and cleaning products and we supplemented these with brushes, hand printed dish cloths, beautiful coffee table books and hand blown glassware. As we are committed to reducing unnecessary waste and promoting ecofriendly packaging, all of our bottles are PET. We use this because it’s the most easily recyclable material available. It can be recycled into PCR plastic, lessening the need to produce more potentially harmful plastics. We are also working on refill stations - to make it even easier to reuse our packaging. We want our shop to embody our deep rooted belief in community. With the refill station we hope to encourage the locals to view our shop as a cleaning hub. Somewhere where they can refill their products whilst learning hints and tips, but also share their own stories with us. It’s how we all learn and make connections with others, and how we can improve our products and create ranges that our customers really want.

simple, clean, n at u r a l i n g r e d i e n t s We knew from the outset when creating Norfolk Natural Living that we wanted to make cleaning and laundering clothes using the most natural ingredients possible. For us, this means taking the utmost care in choosing which ingredients we use in our products, which is why we make, bottle and label each and every one of our products in our workshop in Norfolk, England.

You can refill these bottles at our flagship store, nestled in the charming streets of Holt, Norfolk. It’s not a perfect solution, but it’s a start. We are also working on refillable pouches - to make it even easier to reuse our packaging.

WHY ECO-CLEANING?

Led by the stunning natural landscape that surrounds our Norfolk workshop, our recipes wield the power of plants and botany. Every ingredient that we use in our luxury garment care and homewares collection is chosen with care and consideration. We have left out potentially harmful chemicals such as chlorine, petroleum, phosphates, phthalates, bleach and artificial colours that are so prevalent in standard household products, so all our products are safe for use around pets, children

WHY SCENTED VINEGAR? Vinegar is a cleaning ingredient as old as time, and one that I remember my grandmother being quite evangelical about. White distilled vinegar has stood the test of time as a cleaning cupboard essential due to its versatility and easy availability. It’s definitely a staple in my cleaning cupboard. It is a fantastic guilt-free natural cleaner: you can pour it down the loo without worrying about polluting our waterways and it is non-toxic, making it a great choice for my family home. We've scented our formula with lavender and rose, so this one won't leave your home smelling of fish and chips!

B E L L A' S B AT H R O O M CLEANING TIPs I was certain that, when I decided I wanted to make my own home cleaning collection, that they absolutely must stand up to scrutiny when it comes to cleaning power. Investing in eco-friendly cleaning practices needn’t mean compromising on quality, or having to put in extra work because the products are less effective than mass-produced alternatives. These are my favourite hacks to help you get the best out of your all-natural cleansers and sprays.

CLEAN TILES AND GROUT Bathroom tiles and grout are very easily stained, and tend to show even the smallest blemish. It’s not the most glamourous of cleaning tasks, but once it’s done you’ll be impressed by the difference it makes to a room. Simply fill a spray bottle with equal parts scented vinegar (rose is my favourite) and water and apply to your tiles or grout. Let it sit for around five minutes, then brush away. Be sure to rinse with plenty of warm water. If you don’t have a suitable brush, an old toothbrush makes a great substitute.

01 BATHTUB CLEANSER Cleaning your porcelain or enamel bath involves the utmost care so not to scratch or spoil the delicate finish. They’re highly resistant surfaces, but they are prone to chipping and cracking. Keeping it looking sparkly and new isn’t too challenging with just a few simple steps. When it comes to enamel and porcelain, gentle cleaning is best. Our botanical bathroom

cleanser was designed with sensitive cleaning in mind. Simply spray and wipe with a cotton dish cloth for effective everyday cleaning. >>

CLEANING LIMESCALE

Limescale can be a real irritant, especially around taps and other metal fixtures in the bathroom. If you live in hard water area like me (Norfolk is gorgeous but suffers from very hard water), your bathroom will be especially susceptible. Our scented vinegar works a treat on limescale, and with a lovely fresh aroma too, unlike traditional unscented vinegar. Spray it directly on to your taps, or dilute with equal part vinegar to water. Allow to soak in, for as long as several hours. Scrub to remove and buff dry with a microfibre cloth to finish.

03 SHOWER GLASS CLEANER We have a separate shower cubicle in our bathrooms, and I’m not ashamed to admit I’m a little fastidious about keeping the glass shower panes shiny and free from smears (which is sometimes wishful thinking with three little ones around!) Spray bathroom cleaner all over the glass and leave for a few minutes. Wipe away and rinse with hot water, ensuring no soap bubbles are left. For a streakfree finish, use scented vinegar diluted with an equal amount of water. Wash the glass again with hot water, and remove excess water with a squeegee, working from top to bottom. I like to finish by polishing with a microfibre cloth.

It is midwinter, we are warm, safe, nestled by the fire. The fresh yet surprisingly sultry notes of Bergamot and Orange Blossom release a deep inner sense of calm - we can pause, breathe and contemplate.

Under the soft cloak of darkness, the world turns inwards and animals retreat. Winter is here, like a warm hug, we follow the melody of Tonka Beans and Eucalyptus which ensconce our senses.

The air is full and fresh with the joyful notes of the sylvan Lemon tree and the hypnotic song of Ylang Ylang.

With each breath we relax further, allowing the decadent sweet notes of Amber to embrace us, finally cocooning our senses in the wondrously comforting notes of Cedarwood.

While top notes of Lavandin and Thyme create a compellingly tender sound, like that of a solo robin singing for his love. Crafted by hand in our little workshop on the Norfolk Coast.

Natural Neem Oil. Simply fill your atomiser with clean water, add 5 drops of neem oil and give it a little shake. Mist over the leaves before wiping with a cloth to give your plants a beautiful shine and to help your plant photosynthesise. Use every 2-3 weeks.

This wonder tonic harnesses the power of the Thymus herb's natural antiseptic abilities which help to kill of plant bacteria and viruses. Simply mist over your tools before using, or mist the inside of your plant pots when repotting to help prevent cross-contamination.
