Seasons Greeting Mini Album

Page 1

The picture and instructions should fully enable you to create the mini album.. However should you have any questions please email me at juliaoboo88@gmail.com and I will assist you. The cover is built from 3 chipboard pieces as shown here:

You will cover these piece with the patterned paper as shown here:

Apply adhesive to the chipboard and place on the paper as shown below. When covering the front and back cover you will cut the corners diagonally in order to achieve a smoother fold as shown here:

Fold the edges over and adhere down. Your paper will have more room for the overlap than what is show here. Cover both the front and back of the book.

Put adhesive on the spine and put in the center of the red snowflake paper. Next put adhesive on the spine of the book and put on the paper as shown here:

Now put adhesive on the paper above and then place the front and back covers on either side leaving a gap about 1/8 of an inch between each piece as shown. This will allow room for the book to fold back and forth without tearing the paper.

Fold over the edges of the spine covering. Again your paper will have a larger overhang than what is pictured. This just give you more room to work with.

Cover the inside of the book with the ornament paper in the center as shown (careful it is facing the same direction as the outside of the cover) and then fold the book to make your creases.

Next cover the inside pages with the striped paper as shown.

Your cover will now look like this.

Cover the seam of the paper with the trim as shown. I used 3-‐in-‐1 glue from Beacon Crafts. You can use any adhesive you prefer, such as Helmar’s or Scotch.

Next attach the half back pearls to the darker tree. I used a fine point Zig Adhesive pen to attach them. I followed the pattern of the dots already on the paper. Then adhere the tree and the Season’s Greetings embellishment to the front of the cover. I left the tree branches loose to give it some dimension and used pop dots on the darker tree to bring it forward more.

The o-‐wire spine is partially assembled for you. However if it has come apart during shipping this is the way it should be thread. Thread the o-‐wire on the left side of the spine with the opening facing to the right. You will attach this to the spine of the cover but not until all your pages are complete and inserted and you have closed the wire. Place this aside until you have completed all the pages you will not adhere the spine to the cover until your pages are completed and the wires are closed.

Page 1 The o-‐wire holes have ben pre-‐punched for you for each page. Each page is packaged separately so you know exactly which papers to use on that page. For page 1 attach the newsprint paper to the top half of the page. Creat a pocket with the brown polka dot paper. The paper has been pre-‐scored for you and you just need to fold as shown and apply adhesive along the folded edge. Adhere the lace along the edge of the pocket and embellish with the stickers . I put the brad in the center of the sticker. Tags are made from the tag sheet.

Adhesive along folded edge and then along sides to create a pocket.

Pages 2&3 Adhere the green scrollwork paper to each page. Then attached the pockets. The pockets are scored at the appropriate folds. Apply adhesive along the folds and attach to the page lining up with the holes. Attach the lace trim on the cardstock pocket as shown. Embellish with stickers and flourish. Use the tags from the tag sheet. I have included twine to wrap around the tags as shown

Pages 4 & 5 Attach aqua cardstock to pages. Then adhere patterned paper to outside (left side on left page 4 and right side on right page 5) edge of the pages. Adhere trim along the seam of the overlapping paper. Embellish with stickers and flower as shown. I have included an aqua and a red bead so you can choose which color you prefer at the center of your flower. Tie some twine around the sticker for extra pizzaz.

Paages 6 & 7 Pages 6 & 7 have fold outs that you will create. The fold out pages are already cut and scored for you to attach to the main page. Make sure to line up the stub corners and adhere the pages together. The pages should fold in towards the center of the book. Place the green teardrop patterned paper over the the base page. The red mat should be attached to the inside of the fold out page. The red mat is also on the outside of the fold out page and then layered with the honeycomb patterned paper.

Pages 8 & 9 Adhere the beige patterned paper to the top of pages and the damask red paper to the bottom. Adhere the brown crochet trim along the seam of the papers. Place the Christmas embellishment on the right side. I have put the full round embellishment in your kit. You can choose to keep it whole or cut it in half as I have done in the photo.

Pages 10 & 11 Adhere gingham paper to top of the page. Then make the pocket with the cardstock. The cardstock is already scored for the pockets. Put adhesive along the folded edges and adhere to the page. Adhere the green trim along the bottom of the scalloped border. Embellish with stickers as shown. I have used a button brad and pierced it through the small round scalloped sticker and then placed over the red circle of the flourish sticker. Use tags and journaling cards from the tag sheet for the pockets.

Pages 12 & 13 These pages have a flap. Adhere the flaps to the page base so that the page flips up. Cover the outside flap with the blue patterned paper as shown. Embellish with stickers and the paper dove.

Attach the snowflake brads to the core’dinations cardstock and then adhere the cardstock to the base pages. Embellish with stickers as shown

Pages 14 & 15 Adhere the green cardstock to the base pages. Mat with the red and poinsettia patterned paper. Embellish with stickers using pop dots. I have matted the Merry Christmas bingo sticker and then used pop dots. I have put a matt for the sticker in the kit if you choose to use it.

Page 16 Adhere the red cardstock to the base page. Adhere the patterned papers matted as shown in the picture. Embellish with stickers.

You will now put each page onto the o-‐wire and close the o-‐wire. If you have a cinch or bind-‐it-‐all you can use that to close the o-‐wire. Otherwise you can you can close the o-‐wire with your hands by squeezing tightly until the wires close completely into each hole. Once this is done, adhere the pages to the book’s spine using a strong liquid adhesive such as Helmar’s or Beacon’s 3-‐in-‐1.
