WHAT’S HAPPENING TO OUR MARKET 2015 has been a very good year. The good news is that 2015 should be in the top 5 of all time. We should finish with over 950 sales compared to 827 last year. In 2011 we had 1166 sales which was the second best of all time, having 845 sales by the end of July compared to 666 this year. The bad news is that the total sales dropped from 102 in June to 64 in July. This is a 42% drop, compared to the normal summer drop of about 18%. Sales over 4 million were averaging 17 per month (a high of 23 in June) and dropped to 6 in July. North Vancouver is having the same kind of year, but sales dropped from 159 in June to 93 in July. Waterfronts are having their second worst in history. We sell an average of 22 waterfronts a year, as of the end of July we have had 7. As for condo sales the results are the same. Great year with 42 sales in May, down to 22 in July.
