o m e to lc e w NORTH CENTRAL COLLEGE North Central College is thrilled to welcome you Home for the Holidays for the Fine & Performing Arts 2021-2022 season! We couldn’t be more excited to be able to share these incredibly talented artists with you, live and in person. We are in a unique and challenging time, but it is a joy to share fine arts events together once more. We kicked off the season in November with Plain White T’s and Beckie Menzie and Tom Michael. Our Home for the Holidays series includes the Holiday Jazz Concert, Jim Brickman: The Gift of Christmas, and MICHAEL BOLTON, Greatest Hits & Holiday Favorites. January offers even more excitement with Jim Peterik’s World Stage, Chicago Sinfonietta’s “Martin Luther King, Jr. Tribute Concert: Joie de Vivre”, and Russian National Ballet’s “Swan Lake”. In February, join us for “My Funny Valentine” with Pat Hazel and Karen Morgan, TheaterWorksUSA’s “Dog Man: The Musical”, and Take 6. In March, we welcome Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy and Marianne Murphy Orland’s

“Rags to Rhinestones: The Musical Life of Dolly Parton”. We close out the season with TheaterWorksUSA’s “Rosie Revere, Engineer & Friends”, Kurt Elling, Laura Freeman’s “Backstage Pass” and The Four C Notes. We wish to express our sincere gratitude to our season sponsors and Friends of the Arts donors—thank you for your generous support this season. We would not be able to bring you these wonderful events and continue working toward future seasons without your generous contributions. And to you, our loyal audience: thank you for your continued support and patronage. We hope you enjoy a performance or two! Without further ado, on with the show! Sincerely,

Jennifer Berosek Coordinator of Fine Arts

BIO GRAPH y Michael Bolton is a multiple Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and humanitarian, who has sold more than 65 million records globally and continues to tour the world. Bolton remains committed to humanitarian causes, especially through the Michael Bolton Charities. Michael is executive producer and host, along with Zooey Deschanel, on “The Celebrity Dating Game” on ABC. The reboot of the beloved gameshow is a wry wink at modern dating featuring three contestants hoping to win a date with a celebrity guest. Celebrating 50 years of contributions to the entertainment industry, Bolton’s most recent release “A Symphony of Hits”, a number one album on the Billboard Classical Chart, is a collection of his favorite greatest hits newly arranged and recorded with a full symphony orchestra. To date, Bolton has seen nine studio albums rank in the Top 10, with nine number one singles. In recognition of his artistic achievements, Michael won two Grammys for Best Pop Male Vocal Performance (nominated four times), six American Music Awards, three Emmy nominations and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. As a songwriter, he has earned more than 24 BMI & ASCAP Awards, including Songwriter of the Year, nine Million-Air awards, and the Hitmakers Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Bolton has written with some of the greatest and most diverse talent of our time, including Bob Dylan, Paul Stanley, Lady Gaga, Diane Warren and David Foster. Bolton’s songs have been recorded by the likes of KISS, Kanye West, Jay Z, Barbra Streisand, Cher, Kenny Rogers and Marc Anthony. Michael has performed with legacies such as Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Renee Fleming and BB King. Michael became a viral sensation in The Lonely Island’s Emmy-nominated video “Captain Jack Sparrow” that launched on “Saturday Night Live” and has racked up nearly 220 million views on YouTube. He earned another Emmy nod for his collaborations with the Screen Junkies’ popular channel “Honest Trailers”. He executive produced and starred in the Netflix show “Michael Bolton’s Big Sexy Valentine’s Special,” which has become a seasonal cult classic. Bolton’s songs and performances have been featured in numerous television and film soundtracks, including the Oscar-nominated theme song “Go the Distance” from Walt Disney’s blockbuster animated film “Hercules,” and the recent Russell Crowe film “Fathers & Daughters,” which has become a favored wedding song and part of several viral videos. He also executive produced the documentary “Terror at Home” addressing domestic violence in America, and was nominated for an Emmy for writing the title song “Tears of The Angels”. Michael also produced a feature-length documentary, “American Dream: Detroit,” which is his love letter to the Motor City.
