Academic Vision

Desirée Libengood, VP of Academic Affairs

The Vice President of Academic Affairs is excited to share about the ways students are challenged to pursue critical thought rooted in scripture and gain skills and competencies for lives of service in society, the marketplace, and the church. This session will cover academic expectations, goals, and highlight the supports in place for success.

Life in the Residence Halls

Presented by Resident Directors

For many, college is the first experience living away from home. This workshop will give parents a look inside life in the Residence Halls at NCU, with special attention given to three specific areas: community in the Residence Halls, the roles of the Resident Director and Resident Advisor, and the terminology of the Residence Hall. This workshop will highlight what a parent can do if you believe that your student is struggling.

Fostering Independence

Presented by Vicki Graham, wife of Interim President Doug Graham

Starting college, students enter a new and challenging season of their lives. Come and hear what it means to be a parent to a young adult and to stay connected while fostering independence. This workshop will be led by NCU Faculty Parents, and will engage other parents in dialogue on what it means to walk with your child through this new stage in life.
