19 YEARS OF MAKING NANOMEDICINE HISTORY
Northeastern University is the world-leader in nanomedicine education. In the same year that the U.S. National Institutes of Health first identified nanomedicine as a research area of strategic importance, we created our first nanomedicine courses!
Through the support of $10M in federal grants, we have built a robust set of nationally recognized training programs. These include the CaNCURE Nanomedicine Co-op Program, the multi-institutional graduate Nanomedicine Academy, and the IGERT Nanomedicine PhD specialization Program.
19 years and 1300 students later, we are excited to offer 10 one-of-a-kind courses that teach the latest nanomedicine theories, techniques, and skills. All our course content is drawn directly from peer-reviewed literature, as well as faculty research and industry experiences.
We invite you to explore our exciting curriculum. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!”

Did you know…
Doing something as simple as changing the nanoscale texture of a surface can change the way cells and molecules interact with the surface? And that you can make a material toxic just by changing it's surface charge? Or that packaging drugs in nanoparticles can make drugs safer and more effective?
We use these and other unique nanoscale behaviors to solve problems in healthcare and medicine…
Our nanomedicine faculty are passionate about nanomedicine research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. We bring this enthusiasm to all the courses we teach.”
