Tours There are multiple ways to tour our campus today. Stop by our Admissions table in the Duke Ellington Ballroom if you have questions.

Browsing Fair

Campus/Residence Hall Bus Tours

(HSC) Duke Ellington Ballroom 9 a.m. to noon With more than 30 academic departments and campus resources represented, all of your questions about NIU can be answered in one place. Stop by the college tables for additional presentation, tour and reception information. A guide to the Browsing Fair can be found on page 4.

Depart from East Ballroom Doors 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tickets for campus/residence hall tours are provided at check-in, and your tour time is printed on your ticket. If you’d like a different tour time, please stop by our ticket exchange table in the Duke Ellington Ballroom. This tour is optional and takes about 75 minutes. Please begin lining up at the East doors of the Ballroom five minutes prior to your departure.

Business, Engineering and Nursing Tours

Depart from HSC West Entrance 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Take a bus and tour Barsema Hall (Business), the Engineering Building or the Nursing Building.

Recreation and Wellness Center Tours Depart from HSC West Entrance 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Take a bus and tour our recreation and wellness facilities.

Application Workshop Cole Hall, Room 106 — Computer Lab 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Complete your application to NIU today. Our staff will be available to answer any questions you have. Submit your completed application online by midnight to have your application fee waived.

NIU's main campus in DeKalb, Illinois, is located 1.5 miles north of the Ronald Reagan Memorial (I-88). The city is also accessible via state highways 38 and 23. First-time visitors exiting from the I-88 are advised to use the Annie Glidden exit as this is the most clearly marked approach to the campus.
