Urban Outreach

From North Park Service Days, to tutoring local students, to International Justice Mission (an anti-human trafficking group), and more, we offer a wide array of ways to get involved and make a difference in the world.

What excites me about my field is the way it has the ability to improve the health and well-being of people everywhere, and lead to radical positive change in the way our communities interact with nature, the nonhuman life. My most memorable learning experience was when I went as a part of a North Park group to the Standing Rock protests in North Dakota. I was able to not just learn in a classroom but participate in a community of people passionate about environmental justice and stand up for my convictions.
