Nevis
Leeward Islands
The tiny island of Nevis is as easy-going as they come. Spanning just 36 square miles, this is old-school Caribbean, unsullied by mass tourism. What it does have to offer is small and stylish hotels, quaint beach shacks and gentle-mannered, welcoming Nevisians. This is the go-to island after spending a few days cruising the high-octane spritz of other Caribbean hotspots such as nearby St. Barths and St. Maarten. Plan for a few days, or even a week, at either end of your charter and explore Nevis from the comfort of the Paradise Beach Nevis resort. Part of an intimate enclave, Exclusive Resorts has five large, stand-alone villas just steps away from the beach, each replete with private pools and outdoor decks with dining areas. Stay home and enjoy a killer rum punch at the Beach Bar, followed by dinner at the Paradise Beach Restaurant & Bar. You’ll never want to leave, but if you can drag yourself away, Nevis has alot to offer. Hike the volcano and work up an appetite for dinner at the 300-year-old Montpelier Plantation, sample the local rums through a personalized tour or head straight to Sunshine’s Beach Bar & Grill on Pinney’s Beach for a signature Killer Bee cocktail and a stunning sunset.

One such resort is the internationally acclaimed Four Seasons, where you will find four residences from the Exclusive Resorts collection (pictured opposite). With sweeping ocean views, the stand-alone luxury villas are perfectly suited for large family gatherings, with accommodations for up to 10 guests, private plunge pools, sundecks and a gourmet kitchen.
