For amazing encounters with animals, Zoo Miami is certainly worth a daylong visit. One of the largest and most established zoos in the United States, it features animals from Asia, Africa, Australia, and the Americas. Zoo Miami makes your visit simple regardless of how you want to explore. You can stroll down the gorgeously re-created ecosystems on foot, on a rented Safari Cycle, or on a Safari Tram. Coral Castle
If your kids enjoy history (or just unusual and fascinating attractions), then explore the wonders of Coral Castle in Homestead. This alluring structure was built by Edward Leedskalnin, a man who weighed 100 pounds yet somehow managed to move over 1,100 tons of coral rock between the years of 1923 and 1951.
To this day, scientists and thinkers debate about how this amazing feat was accomplished without the aid of modern machinery. Highlights of his structures include a nine-ton gate, a Polaris telescope, and a sundial all carved out of coral rock.
