After evaluating 30 global cities’ rankings, the World Economic Forum has ranked Hyderabad as the World’s 2nd most dynamic city. Among the top five ranked cities in the world, Hyderabad has shown a quick rise in the values of residential property in the last one year. In fact, Hyderabad has successfully proved to be the city in the country which with structural reforms has attracted more foreign direct investment. This credit goes to the Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Act 2016, which has attracted & encouraged investments.
The top five positions respectively are Bengaluru closely followed by Hyderabad. Hanoi, Delhi & Pune occupy the third, fourth & fifth positions respectively. Hyderabad in fact has also been able to maintain top position in the Central Management Inc. (CMI) in consecutive years. Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), a global real estate service firm will soon launch its 6th & this year’s CMI places the city at the 2nd spot.
As per Knight Frank Global Residential Cities Index - 2018, Hyderabad ranked among top five cities in the world. As per them the city has shown a quick rise in residential property values during the last one year. World Economic Forum (WEF) says “Although the momentum in the global economy appears to have peaked, there are still many cities in the world where real estate & economic growth continue to be robust.”

The focus of the City Momentum Index primarily is on how governments & businesses work together in order to make this happen. CMI tracks a range of socio-economic & commercial indicators so as to attribute success over short term. They rank over 131 emerging & established major business hubs across the globe. This is to identify real estate markets in urban economies presently undergoing most rapid expansion.
New Year rankings have witnessed that the fastest urban growth has once again shifted from the west to the east. Nineteen of the twenty top cities in this year belong to the Asia Pacific.
