Advanced Practice  Advanced Practice with investigative consultancy project routes are similar to many of our 1-Year MSc with consultancy project routes, while 2-year Advanced practice course spends more dedicated time in the Business Clinic, reflected in the total assessment input for the two 60 credit modules. Students on the two year pathway will choose two modules from examples:  Applied Management Work Investigation  Masters’ Study Abroad*  Business Clinic PG Group Consultancy Project  The Newcastle Business School Masters Dissertation  Masters’ Internship *Subject to availability and government guidance during Covid-19.


Ways to Study 1 Year Full Time  Based at City Campus in Newcastle City Centre.  September start. 2 Years Full Time with Advanced Practice  First year based at City Campus in Newcastle City Centre.  Advanced practice in second year – chosen by student.  September start. 2 Years Full Time with Study Abroad  First year based at City Campus in Newcastle City Centre.  Study abroad in second year – chosen by student.  September start. *Subject to availability and government guidance during Covid-19.


Teaching and Assessment Teaching  The course is split into modules worth either 20 credits, with dissertation or final project worth 60 credits.  You study for 180 credits in total.  Lectures (large group teaching), seminars (small group discussions) and workshops (interactive, practical sessions).  Self-directed study – 25 hours per week.  Guest lectures, social activities and portfolio development. Teaching and Assessment Assessment  The main assessment method will be via individual assignments and business reports where you’ll be expected to take a deep and critical approach.  You’ll also be required to submit a 15,000 word, subject-specific dissertation where you’ll explore a digital theme in depth, applying research skills and methodologies.  You will have the option to undertake a Masters’ consultancy project as an alternative to the dissertation.  Assessments reflect professional practice and include:  Visual / verbal presentations  Technical reports  Group work  Projects  There are no exams, but 1-2 assignments per module.

Research Work in the Digital Marketing Arena The Digital Business research cluster, at the Newcastle Business School, aims to develop excellent and high impact research, to contribute to our ‘Digital Future‘ and change the way that work is performed and services are delivered for the good of our society and a sustainable economy.

Entry Requirements  Applicants should normally have a minimum of a 2:2 honours degree in any subject. However, applicants without a degree will be considered.  International qualifications - if you have studied a non-UK qualification, you can see how
