What is the NU ALLSTARS Scheme?
The NU ALLSTARS scheme aims to create and foster close partnerships between schools/colleges and Northumbria University. The scheme offers students at your school or college an extensive package of activities and guidance, designed to build knowledge, skills and opportunities and to support their progression into higher education, with a focus on Northumbria University.
The activities available through the scheme include a mix of events taking place online, in your school or college and at the University. Alongside the core content, you will also have the opportunity to take part in Northumbria’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions.
What are the benefits of partnering with Northumbria University for NU ALLSTARS?
Your school or college will form a lasting, professional relationship with Northumbria University. NU ALLSTARS will allow you to tailor specific activities that work for your students and staff to create unique and interesting opportunities.
Specific benefits include:
1. A minimum of 4 sessions to year 12 & 13 students
2. Financial support and priority booking for on-campus events at Northumbria
3. Use of Northumbria campus facilities
4. A scholarship of £1,500 presented to a student who joins Northumbria University

NU ALLSTARS offers a core range of benefits to all partners, alongside the choice of a number of additional options to suit your individual school or college. Northumbria staff will work with you to create a package of activity that best suits your needs. Admissions Benefits: Guaranteed aspirational offers to all students predicted within 16 points of standard (non-interview) course offers* Core Guaranteed dual offer for L4 courses where there is an appropriate foundation year route, with the exception of health-related courses Core Specialised application support for applicants to courses requiring an interview or portfolio Optional Personal statement consultation sessions (virtual and in-person) Optional *Subject specific requirements may apply. In School Activity: Delivery of at least four Evolve sessions to Year 12 students and two to Year 13 Core Quarterly meetings with school representative to discuss opportunities/share insights and improve offering Core Northumbria representative present at HE or careers events held in school/college. Help with personal guidance for students/ parents/carers Core On Campus: Priority access to on-campus subject taster sessions Optional Support with Extended Project including guidance seminar as well as use of facilities e.g library Optional Funding to support attendance at Open Days, NU X and Interviews Optional Support for Teachers: CPD and training Optional Funded travel to an annual Teacher’s Conference on campus and to our Open Day Optional Merchandise / giveaways Core Use of campus facilities for school/ college events Optional Reference writing support, advice and guidance Optional HE Awareness / insight briefing (Strategic Leaders Forum) Optional Virtual Activity: Access to “Superstar Masterclass” seminars Optional Access to Revision Tips and Tricks content Optional Tutoring
GCSE English and Maths: Tutoring for GCSE English & Maths Optional Financial Awards: School / College and NU scholarship of £1,500.
