The power of North Wales Motor Company celebrates ten

its tenth anniversary with four car launches, ten new workshop ramps and brand new premises.

You may have read in last month’s issue that North Wales Honda and Llandudno Kia will be sharing a brand new premises from the 1st February, coinciding with the family run business’s tenth anniversary. It’s going to be busy team with the first new car arriving at the end of January – the hotly anticipated Kia Sportage.

The Llandudno Kia sales team have welcomed the new Sportage with open arms. The all-new car sees the widest range of powertrains ever made available in the Sportage’s 28-year history, including for the first time a HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) model as well as, mild hybrid, petrol, and diesel engines that will all be available from launch. Plug-in Hybrid models will go on sale towards the end of the first quarter of 2022.

Designed and developed for Europe, in Europe, the all-new fifth-generation Sportage comes with a brand-new design identity giving the new car superb on-road presence. The design is sleek yet muscular and combines with a cuttingedge premium interior that includes a curvaceous integrated display, featuring two high-definition 12.3-inch displays (available on ‘Launch Edition’, ‘3’ grade and above).

The all-new Sportage is fully connected, incorporating access to over-the-air (OTA) software and map updates, while the Kia Connect smartphone app (available on select grades) – allows owners to interact with their car remotely.

It’s not all tech! The boot space, head- and leg-room are all substantially increased compared to the previous-generation car, with best-in-class legroom for rear seat occupants and practical 40:20:40 split rear seats.

This will be just one of many launches held in the Llandudno Kia showroom in 2022. The Kia Niro, Kia’s big-selling crossover has been given a radical design overhaul and continues with hybrid, PHEV and electric options. The XCeed crossover is due a round of updates including a raised ride height and toughened-up styling.

North Wales Honda and Llandudno KIA will be under one roof. The signage is being put up ready for the 1st February.

Honda will also be adding its 11th generation Civic to the mix with a hybrid-only line up.

And the sales department isn’t the only one getting excited. Having just moved from the old site on Mostyn Broadway, the North Wales Motor Co’s technical department has a new state of the art workshop which holds ten brand new ramps, two of which are MOT bays and an internal paint shop. It has also been future proofed to compliment the new car technology with nine electric charge points. The great news is that all brands are welcome to North Wales Motor Company Ltd. They have the technology and expertise to service or MOT your petrol, diesel, hybrid or electric car.

Arguably the most thrilling arrival, the Kia EV6 GT specification will be added to the EV6 line up with an incredible 577 bhp rivalling the Porsche Taycan 4s. The new cars and the exciting new workshop is important, but the North Wales Motor Company will have the same motto as they did when they first opened their doors in the spring of 2012 – ‘customers come first’. n
