PAYING FOR COLLEGE

If you’re wondering how to afford the college experience you want, you’re not alone. Most U.S. families finance college with financial aid in the form of scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study or other campus employment. We’ll help you tap into financial resources like these: § We offer academic scholarships ranging from $6,500 to $18,000 per year. Visit nwciowa.edu/scholarships, enter your test scores and GPA, and see what 4-year academic scholarship amount you’ll automatically receive when you enroll. (If you’re transferring to NWC, your academic scholarship will be based on your college GPA.) § Performers who participate in music and/or theatre and student-athletes who intend to play intercollegiate sports may receive fine arts or athletic scholarships. § Legacy Grants are available to students with a family or church connection to Northwestern College, and Iowa offers the Iowa Tuition Grant to in-state students who qualify.

Choosing a college is one of the most important decisions you’ll make for your future. And paying for it will be a big investment. The best investments are based on the quality of the product as well as its price. We’re a Christian college that produces high-quality graduates. So paying for a Northwestern education is really investing in yourself.

Bottom line: College is a ticket to your future. So spend wisely on an excellent education that will prepare you for a great career—as well as the rest of your life.

§ Numerous other need- and merit-based scholarships are available through the generosity of Northwestern alumni and supporters. All enrolled students are automatically screened to determine eligibility for the majority of these scholarships; a few require an application. Your admissions counselor will advise you.
