OUR DIFFERENCE Without people, places are just...well, places. The ROW difference begins and ends with people. For more than 30 years, ROW Adventures has carefully crafted itineraries through firsthand experience. ROW is driven by service and providing life-changing travel experiences. We handle the logistics so you can embrace each moment of your trip to the fullest. On ROW trips, you not only meet the locals – you’re welcomed by them in a genuine way. You truly become a part of the places you visit. Through superlative guest service, experience, education, and artfully crafted itineraries, ROW strives to provide travel experiences that have a positive impact on our guests, our guides, and the people and places we visit.

ORIGINAL & INVOLVED

ADVENTURE EXPERIENCE

Because Mother Nature can sometimes throw a curve ball, consistency and leadership experience are critical for an adventure travel provider. ROW has maintained family ownership since 1979 and both of ROW’s owners continue to be active in the company’s operations.

ROW guides have an average of eight years guiding experience. Many have extensive wilderness medical training and are certified in interpretation - offering cultural, historical and geological insights into the areas you travel. Our international guides are fully bilingual (or better) and well-educated in their country’s cultural and natural history.

YOUR SECURITY

ENVIRONMENTAL INTEGRITY

Travel of any kind has inherent risks. While ROW takes every precaution to mitigate risk, you can be certain that our staff and equipment is prepared to handle emergency situations that may arise. We have working telephones on all trips in Ecuador, versus country radios located at ranger stations. Each ROW guide is certified in basic emergency care, and many have advanced wilderness safety credentials.

ROW has always been an active supporter of environmental conservation. We are dedicated to “Leave No Trace” camping ethics and always practice the three R’s Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Over the years, ROW has served on the board for IGTOA (International Galapagos Tour Operators Association) and, along with our guests, have donated generously to promoting sustainable tourism to help protect the Galapagos Islands.

NAPO WILDLIFE CENTER

SACHA LODGE

HUAORANI ECOLODGE

The Napo Wildlife Center (NWC Amazon Lodge) is a shining example of the good that can be done when conservation and accommodation combine. Based within the majesty of the Amazon rainforest, this landpreserving establishment has cabins and rooms that are eco-friendly yet luxurious. The hotel is responsible for the protection of over 82 square miles of precious rainforest, making each stay a compassionate one.

Sacha Lodge is situated within an expansive 5,000 acre ecological reserve located in Ecuador's Amazon. The reserve it calls home is exclusive, making any stay here a peaceful and private getaway. Sacha's accommodations offer many comforts with few environmental footprints. Each of the lodge's thatched cabins are constructed from natural materials, allowing them to blend in seamlessly with their rain forest surroundings.

The Huaorani EcoLodge offers a very different experience than any of the other lodges in Ecuador's Napo River region. The focus here is on the culture of the Huaorani people. As a community-run enterprise, staying here offers a truly authentic experience with the people.
