REGISTRATION AND MEMBERSHIP A Community Recreation and Wellness membership with Northwood gives you access to programs, a personalized WISH report and discounts on special one-time events. Your WISH report is a health and wellness tool that is designed for you to set and obtain health and wellness goals. This tool also allows us to design and recommend programs based on what is important to you. A trained Age Care Technologist will facilitate this one on one session with you. To get your membership or to renew, please stop by one of the Community Recreation & Wellness offices, visit us online or email us. Your annual membership is $20.00. Programs, events, education, workshops, etc. are for Community Recreation & Wellness members only, unless otherwise specified. Drop-in programs do not require a commitment and are on a pay-as-you go basis, and are member only programs. Advance registration is required. BEDFORD Chair Yoga Chair yoga is an accessible yoga class that focuses on seated postures and modified poses that everyone can enjoy! A focus on functional poses that increase mobility and strengthen our muscles. The deep breathing exercises are linked with movement. A great program for overall physical health. Laughter Yoga A unique social activity combining voluntary laughter, youthful playfulness, and breathing exercises. This class is practiced in a chair and is accessible to everyone. BEDFORD Morning Meditation, Bedford Campus Meditation is known to help alleviate pain, improve circulation and digestion. It is a great way to relax the mind, rejuvenate the body, and bring more clarity into your life. Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life

Fostering Positive Mental Energy Tuesday April 14, 2 to 3 pm

Tuesday April 7, 2 to 3 pm In this session we discover the role that “mindset” plays in helping us to become more resilient as we age. We will look at ways to become more “deliberate thinkers”. When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

In this session we increase awareness of our “mental energy” and how our energy can impact our happiness and fulfillment as we go forward on the aging journey. You will be given tips and tools on how to bring more positive energy into your life.
