If you love a good challenge, this week is for you! We will challenge your bodies and your minds with Minute to Win It! Jeopardy, trivia, obstacle courses, escape rooms, and more. Campers will also get to compete with staff! :-)

SESSION 7- JURASSIC WORLD

Take a trip back in time when dinosaurs roamed the earth! We will explore the different types of dinosaurs, their habitats and unique characteristics through games, crafts and unique experiences.

SESSION 8 - WET & WILD WEEK: SPECIAL EVENT-WATER SLIDE

August 7-11

Are you ready for some water fun? This week will be jam-packed with all sorts of water activities. The slip and slide, water games and a water slide on Friday will help us make one big SPLASH for the final week of camp this summer!

ARTS, SCIENCE, & SPECIALTY CAMPS!

*NEW in 2023 - bag lunch offering! NYA has partnered with CulinArt to provide lunch each week to include a sandwich, chips, fruit, cookie, and water. Lunch can be purchased by the week during the registration process, and the cost is $40 per week. Please note: the kitchen can provide for gluten free and vegetarian options, however campers with severe allergies and food restrictions must bring their own lunch and snacks. All campers should continue to bring snacks for snack time and after-care as well as a water-bottle. Questions: contact CulinArt at dining@ nya.org.

Our specialty camps are designed to appeal to the creative and artistic side of campers! We offer camps in the performing arts, arts/crafts, Legos, science, magic, literacy, and more! Our programs emphasize both product and process. We support the personal and artistic growth of all children and encourage campers to explore the world around them as they develop their own style and means of self-expression. We foster a sense of community among our campers as we share our work and learn from each other.

Daily schedules are organized differently depending on the program and instructors, but campers will have some opportunity to spend time outside in between specialty activities. Age eligibility ranges from 3-15 years, depending on the program, so be sure to check each session closely. All programs are based on NYA’s beautiful campus and are instructed by staff with expertise in the specialty or by one of our partner organizations.

Full Day sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the option of After Care from 3:00-5:00 p.m. for and additional $50. After Care must be signed up for during registration for each session as needed.

Campers should come each day with a *lunch, two snacks, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Because we are so active each day, please be sure campers dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather, as well as for the specialty activity in which they are participating (see the Summer Programs Handbook for detailed packing list).
