Over the course of the last three seasons, several team records have been talked about, and the numbers have been compared to the last 30-odd years. A quarterback has broken decades-old TD records, only to have them broken again the very next year. A running back has rushed for a thousand yards for the first time in 30 years, only to have a rusher gain nearly 2,000 just two seasons later. Scoring records, yardage records, kicking records-none of them have been safe as the Truckers pick up speed each year.

The 2011 team earned the first winning record since 1977 which paved the way for a matching 7-3 record the following season and then an outstanding 9-2 record for the 2013 seniors. If you‘re doing the math, in the last three years, these seniors have been involved in 23 wins. That‘s the most wins for a Trucker football team over any three year span since 1974-76, when the team won 26 games beginning in the state title season of ‗74. The math also tells you that this year‘s team played 11 games– the first season in which the Truckers have

played more than 10 games since 1974, when they played 12. ―These kids have worked as hard as any group I‘ve seen to get here,‖ said Coach MacFarland, ―and I could not be prouder of the way they‘ve stuck together as a family.‖ This idea of the ‗family‘ is one that has carried the team through tough times. Senior captain AJ Scott echoed MacFarland‘s thoughts: ―It gets rough out there. Sometimes it gets real rough. But we‘re brothers, and as long as we stick together, we can over come anything thrown our way.‖

Fall Sports Get Jump on All-Sports Trophy! Fall sports at Norwalk are starting off the year at supersonic speeds. Volleyball won the NOL and had a deep State Tourney run. Boys soccer won the league and both the girls and boys teams had post season wins. Girls Tennis won the NOL and had players do well in the tourney. Quentin Howell ran CC all the way to state, and football finished 5-1 in the NOL.

Truckers Ride Fan Support to Playoffs Over the course of the 11 games this year, the Trucker Football team has seen amazing support from family, classmates, and fans. With some pretty long trips to games this year, the Trucker Faithful always loaded up and followed the buses to every game. The visiting stands have never looked so small at those schools as when Trucker Nation showed up in force to support the team.

―It‘s been amazing this year to see as much blue and gold on the road as we do at home,‖ reflected senior captain Garret MacFarland. ―We couldn‘t have come as far as we did without all the fans showing up and cheering us on.‖ The entire Trucker Football Family would like to thank everyone in the schools, all the parents, and all the fans who have given us nothing but support over the season. The crowd at the playoff game was the biggest we‘ve ever seen at one of our games, and we‘ll do our best to give you all a chance to do it again next year!
