Michelle Sewell is an award-winning scriptwriter and artistic director of Hack Theatre. She will be delivering a workshop on writing political theatre. The workshop will delve into different ways we can create story in the theatre.

In a post-Brexit England, nameless UK British Authority workers dissect and categorise the banalities of a young couple’s turbulent modern relationship. Shopping sprees, Facebook statuses and Skype conversations become crucial elements that determine an applicant’s right to remain with their partner in England. 20 minute performance will be followed by a 40 minute panel discussion. Supported by NAC and YNAF.

Alice d’Lumiere’s Turnabout Tea & Frocked Up Sewing Circle

Alice cordially invites you to touch up your lipstick, straighten your nylons and slip into your fullest fifties frock for her “‘urnabout Tea’ followed by ‘Frocked Up Sewing Circle’ at 2pm. Whether you’re TG and your chromosomes make it difficult to find a cute little retro number that fits, a genetic girl who doesn’t know her twill tape from her bias binding, or even a proficient sewer looking for some additional tailoring tricks, Alice will endeavour to help. Welcoming transgender, cisgender and anyone else with an open mind and a sense of fun.

Ahir Shah presents ‘Control’ about freedom, fascism, complacency, complicity, resistance and milk in an age of global socio-political turmoil.
