Lanois’ influential blend of atmospheric sound design and staggeringly beautiful Americana has left its mark on the countless greats he helped make greater. With electronic pioneer Brian Eno, he produced some of U2’s best-regarded albums, including The Unforgettable Fire, The Joshua Tree, and All That You Can’t Leave Behind. Using only pedal steel, lap steel, and effects, Lanois turns traditional sounds into ambient and effortless music and is set to tour new album ‘Flesh and Machine’.
