Mercury Award-nominated ten-piece band led by alto saxophonist and composer Cassie Kinoshi. The stellar line-up features some of London’s most up-and-coming young jazz musicians including tuba player Theon Cross (Sons of Kemet), trumpeter Sheila-Maurice-Grey (Kokoroko) and guitarist Shirley Tetteh (Maisha). Combining jazz with inner-city London, West African and Caribbean influenced groove, SEED explores a blend of genres through original compositions and improvisation.

To celebrate his 80th birthday, Grammy award-winning American saxophone hero and pioneer of afro funk joins forces with the UK’s leading spiritual jazz outfit, Maisha, for a special UK tour. In his musical journey spanning from being a sideman to Charles Mingus, Max Roach, Miles Davis and Art Blakey, to a solo career marking him as the luminary of the fusion movement of the 70s, Gary Bartz is one of the most reliable living narrators of the American Jazz history.
