Welcome to Norwich Arts Centre

Internationally recognised and in the heart of Norwich’s cultural community, Norwich Arts Centre is a contemporary multi-arts venue housed within a Grade 1 listed beautiful flint structure which dates back to the 14th century.

We have played host to countless of legends, including Nirvana, The Stone Roses and Coldplay and continue to programme the best new music, performance and comedy.

We’re the perfect wedding/civil service venue for anyone looking for something a little bit different. The flexible and versatile nature of Norwich Arts Centre make it the perfect DIY wedding reception venue. That said, we understand that planning a wedding reception can be a daunting task, and our staff our here to help with our extensive experience.

Location

NAC is conveniently located in the city centre with just an 8-10 minute car journey or 15-20 minute walk from the train station with access to plenty of city centre hotels and Airbnbs.

Nestled within the Norwich Lanes it’s the perfect location for a pre-party photo shoot from cosy coffee shops to pretty cobbled streets.

The Venue

In 2019/20 the whole venue was renovated and decorated. Making it clean, stylish, bright and airy.

Our contemporary glass foyer is perfect for a prosecco reception and the 14th century auditorium is ideal for banquet-style seating and live music.

Bands are what we do at NAC and our in-house technician will take care of sound-check and lighting using our brand new top of the range sound desk, PA and lighting rig.

Decoration is up to you. Be it fairy lights, bunting, balloons or pinatas we’ll have qualified staff to help you install them.

Our fully-licensed Adnams Mission Hall Bar offers a wide range of high-quality alcoholic, soft and hot drinks. If you have any special requests, be it a particular cocktail, wine or ale, we can almost always make it happen.

We provide

Your will have access to the building on the day of your reception from 9am-1.30am, with use of the back garden until 10pm.

• Venue capacity for a reception for up to 220 people.

• Exclusive use of the auditorium, foyer, bar and dressing room.

• A well-equipped medium-sized kitchen for use by caterers.

• Disabled access and hearing loops in the foyer, bar and auditorium.

• Use of all audio-visual equipmet plus an in-house sound / lights technician.

• Fully stocked bar and bar staff, serving until 1am.

• A duty manager and door security responsible for the safety of your guests.

Price

All of the above included in our rate for 2024.

Chose from two pricing options;

Option One ~ No ceremony ~ £3600.00

Option Two ~ With ceremony ~ £3900.00

Both are inclusive of VAT so this is the price you’ll pay.

The price does not include wedding planner, decorations, music or catering but we would be more than happy to share our recommendations.

Also, please note that we do not include event staff for setting-up (including setting-up/moving tables).

• A space to store items from the day before and next day clean-up / collection time (2 hrs).

• Alterations to our stage layout (half stage option)

Option Two includes the above, plus...

• A beautiful space for your legal wedding ceremony, seating 70+ people, set up by our team.

• Flower arches and festoon lighting

• Live streaming.
