PHILOSOPHY Outstanding Achievement in the Philosophy Minor Awarded to the Philosophy minor who contributes most to the department measured by participation in classroom and departmental activities.

COMMUNICATIONS Best Senior Producer Award Awarded to the senior producer (or producers) who exhibits the strongest leadership in the year’s productions.

Recipient: Jasmine Hubbard

ENGLISH Chameleon Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Fiction, Poetry, and Creative Non-Fiction (selected by the Chameleon student editorial staff):

Outstanding Player Awarded for contributions to theater arts, especially the Pegasus Players (including acting, technical work, playwriting, and leadership). Normally granted to a student in their senior year and in recognition for cumulative contributions during their time at Norwich (selected by the Director of Pegasus Players in coordination with the Pegasus student representatives).

Arthur Wallace “Pop” Peach Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Surveys of American and British Literature Awarded to the English major or minor who demonstrates excellent scholarship and classroom presence in these survey courses.

Recipient: Surayah Pierce


Outstanding Achievement in the English Minor Awarded to the English minor who contributes most to the Department measured by participation in classroom and departmental activities.

Recipient: Katherine Norwood

Hart Award The Hart Award was established in honor of Loring E. Hart, PhD, former Professor of English and President of Norwich University. The award is given annually to the senior majoring in English who has contributed the most to the department, as measured by participation both in the classroom and in department activities.

Recipient: Faith Odegbami


Partridge Award for Excellence in English Awarded to the senior English major with the highest average in English courses taken at Norwich.

Recipient: Travis Needham (3.9 GPA in English coursework)

MODERN LANGUAGES Awarded to the highest achieving senior student(s) in Chinese, French, German, and Spanish.

Outstanding Senior, Chinese Program Recipient: Jonathan Yune
