AT THE AGORA

The ancient Greeks call their marketplace an agora and it’s always busy!

Here, traders come from far and wide to buy and sell food, furniture and tools. It’s also where important people meet to talk about big ideas and how they should run the country.

Use the stickers to add some pots to the market stalls.

ON THE FARM

It’s tough to grow food in ancient Greece because the soil isn’t very healthy. This means the farmers have to work very hard! They use heavy ploughs pulled by oxen and sometimes pray to the gods for a good harvest.

HOME LIFE

Ancient Greeks live in simple houses with tiny windows high up. There is a courtyard in the middle with all the rooms around the edge. The dining room is the biggest – it’s where the men have special parties where no women are allowed!

Add some guests eating and drinking at the party.
