Sounds of Blackness Happy Valentine’s Day
We celebrated love and unity on Valentine's Day, spreading joy and harmony through music. The clubhouse held a Valentine’s Day event where the youth were able to eat, play and put their talent on display. Many of the students asked to hear our song “Best Friend” by Treasure.
As part of our dedication to honoring Black History Month, our students contributed their talents to the Black History Month album with our track titled “ Roots” showcasing a fusion of several genres and the richness of African American musical heritage.
U Street Live!
We were honored to welcome acclaimed jazz artist Don Braden. Stemmingfromourreleaseof“UStreetLive”,Mr.Bradengraceduswithhis presence, jammed with our talented youth, and imparted invaluable knowledge during a live music workshop. He spoke to them about honing their skills, as well as the opportunities that lie ahead in the world of performance.
