CHI GIRLS SING: VOL 1

DREAM BIG EP

We started off the year with an amazing release from the Chi Girls Sing program. This is our longest running workshop and they were very happy to show how far they’ve come. The project includes 3 songs featuring Rayven, Chloe, and Harmony. It offers a very vibe driven, and melodic sound that they have worked so hard on! Take a step into a modern and chill RnB/Hip-Hop experience! Go show those them some love and check out Chi Girls Sing Vol .1!

As shown in previous liner notes we recently started a program called Beats & Bars. One day we work one beats, the next day we write songs, and repeat! Now we have had the opportunity to release some of the things we’ve created. This EP includes Aiden, Rayven, Harmony, Jakoby, Cornelius, and Daijon. It features 3 original tracks that talk about dreams of having more, and loving more. Starting with some hopeful trap tracks and ending with a very dreamy love song. We hope you enjoy and remember to Dream Big.

BUDDIES @ THE KEYBOARD

BEATS & BARS FOR DAYS

STUDENT-TEACHER COLLAB

Ever since Christmas time the keyboards have had more attention than ever! We have a few students dedicating the next 3 months to learning how to play keyboard and incorporate that into original songs. Our very own Aiden is shown here with Diamonte and they are splitting up the left and right hand parts of the song! What a beautiful display of learning and teamwork all brought together through the power of an instrument!

As Beats & Bars continues we have gotten a lot of beats done! Now we’ll be using the next 2 months to write to the instrumentation that this program has created. We have seen a nice amount of youth coming into this program day by day and very excited for the kids to take over production and release their own beat tape by the Summertime.

Here we have our amazing teen drummer Jasean. This moment was very important for us to capture as growth is one the most pivotal aspects of music. There is so much we can accomplish alone, but a helping hand not only helps the skill, but breeds confidence. We see here that Jasean is not only given pointers, but belief is instilled as he repeats the sequence taught to him. We love to see a collaborative effort from teachers as it shows students what they can do, and that they don't have to do it alone.
