YOUTH OF THE YEAR 2024
PODCASTING POPS OFF
The clubhouse celebrated the winners of the Youth of the Year 2024 awards. Oscar, Delilah, and Sherlyn performed songs throughout the show for the winners and their families. Delilah was a YOY for the studio last year, and this year’s YOY winners for the studio were Sherlyn and Angel.
Podcast veterans Raahi, Aleah, Ailyn, and Sharon are using the podcast process to learn how to make projects completely by themselves. They’ve been learning how to set up the software, record, and edit their own podcasts by recording clips of Aleah interviewing Ailyn and Sharon.

NEW INTERNS
Xochitl and Raahi asked to learn how to use Ableton after they participated in our Les Paul Project a couple months ago. They were introduced to the software for the project and are quickly learning how to use it independently. They have started a couple original song ideas, we’re excited to hear their finished products!
Singing and songwriting have been getting more popular among our teens. Edwin, who normally comes in for guitar lessons, wanted to try recording a song he likes. He decided to rewrite some of the lyrics too! The song is in Spanish and includes both singing and rapping.
It’s intern season and our studio is so fortunate to have two interns - Kenny and Angel! Kenny is a senior who has been working on making his own original music. When they’re not helping the youth, their goal is to learn how to use DAWs to record and edit their own original music.
