They work and residence in Stockholm and have just graduated (BA) from Konstfack University of Arts, Craft and Design in spring 2018. Anna Ting has been studying textile art in London, Beijing and Stockholm.

IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH (creating and archive), 2018

HELIO, 2018

During my recovery from surgery in the summer of 2018, I was forced to avoid physical overexertion and spent six weeks of sick leave scanning a box of photographs for my visual archive.

Helio is an artistic research project spinning around the axis of a fictional neurological disorder Heliosynchesiy, the project creates theoretical and sculptural collaborations, exploring the hypothetical world a patient with Heliosynchesiy.

Anne is a visual artist from Germany/UK mainly working with printmaking and photography. She graduated from Kunsthochschule Mainz, Germany in 2018.

Emmeli Person’s research based practice is formulated in installations. Leaking into social formats, projects act in the slippage between a phenomenological entanglement with material and the creation of scientific fictions that help narrate new or existing semiotic structures.

HANNA WILDOW www.hannawilde.com Hanna Wildow, born 1983, lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden. In her artistic practice, she explores language, body and spatiality. With a desire for interspaces, breakages and gaps; she searches for warped spaces and errant narratives. She got her MFA from Konstfack University College of Arts Crafts and Design in 2015.

For each thing that exists in the known universe there is a pony-equivalent. My Little Panzer is a pop-surreal animal - a collage of candy-coloured ponies, Second World War tanks and top-shelf magazine ads. Two salt monoliths slowly dissolved into the sea at Eiran uimaranta, Helsinki under the weather circumstances. These salty capsules refer to two persons who looked into the past and turned into the pillars of salt as in ancient myths and the Bible. Don´t look back has vanished into the Baltic Sea, slightly rising its level of saltiness.

I read somewhere that trauma from war eats itself into the flesh of mothers, passes through the uterus from one generation to another to a third grandchild. And I think of my mother who spent summer breaks on orphanages when her mother went in and out of hospitals for the body and hospitals for the head before she eventually died from what is called

an enlarged heart

And I think of the strangeness in a heart growing too large and I think of two world wars and two falling husbands and one seek for refuge eating themselves into her flesh all the way to her heart which grew and grew and grew until neither that nor anything else could grow anymore and I think of what the world would look like if we eventually become an army of girls with traumas from our mothers and their mothers in our dna.

30.6.2018 10 minuuttia että mieleni asettuu, vain alkaakseen harhailla toisen kymmenen minuutin ajan. Olen tullut liian tutuksi näiden syklien kanssa. Välillä osaan vielä yllättää. Kuten tämä yhtäkkinen ajatus järvestä, jonka keskelle soutaessasi voit kuulla täydellisen akustiikan. Tai tämä jonkinlainen abstraktio läheisistäni riisuuntumassa. Hetken tyyntä. Eräs kultista karannut kitaristi kertoi, että meni tovi ennen kun sai tunteensa takaisin. No, en usko enää itsekään Samsāraan ja kaikessa on jälleen teräviä kulmia, yksityiskohtia, värejä. Vitsailin itselleni, että tänä ilon päivänä nämä olivat kirkkaimmat raidat mitkä löysin kaapista. Tiesin paremmin kuin hyvin ettei tämä ollut totta. Valehtelun piti olla helppoa? Katso nyt. Joku näki vaivaa, kiillotti pinnat platinaksi ja kattoi pöydän. “Sullehan elämä oikein hymyilee.” Näin tekee. Tummapaahdon kellastamalla virneellä. Silmäkulmat nykien vakuuttelen, että olen matkalla eteenpäin. Mutta pelkään tyytymistä. Toivon salaa, että jokin repisi minut jälleen kappaleiksi. En riitä.
